Grilled Shrimp

Hard to go wrong with some good ole shrimp huh? The closest grocery store to our cabin is 25 miles away & man, do I love that place. It’s a small, family operated store (not a chain) for that small little Mississippi town. They have a lot of unique things in it & everybody there are so friendly & helpful. Anyway, found some shrimp & a real good marinade there. The shrimp are cooked, cleaned, deveined, & frozen. The marinade says it works in 30 minutes, but I usually leave them in it for 2-3 hours. I also mix in a Cajun dry rub. You can throw in some cayenne pepper for a little kick. I thaw them out & then toss them in a bowl with the above ingredients for 2-3 hours.

Get the grill started & going at around 300 degrees. Kim found me like this flat little cage that opens & then you put the shrimp in, dump the rest of the marinade on them & close it up. The cage holds the shrimp in place so you can easily flip them over. Put them kinda off to the side (not right over the coals), & cook them for 3 & 1/2 to 4 minutes on each side. Pretty easy prep & cook…they are so damn good. I have even done them once, pulled the tails off & made shrimp Alfredo with them. It was delicious. Have fun & let me know what you think if you try it. Til next time peeps.
