New Bread Recipe

Ok, a while back I made a post about making my first loaf of bread. I found a new recipe that’s easy to do as well & I think it came out way better. I will be using this recipe from now on & then also want to try sourdough bread soon. I made this loaf this past Saturday & have been using it this week for my sandwich for lunch. Kinda cool using something you made.

I did a couple things different than completely going by the recipe. It called for a Dutch oven with a top… bake for 30 minutes covered & then 12 minutes uncovered. I used a metal loaf pan. I started off covering it with aluminum foil, but then took it off after a couple of minutes because I was scared it was gonna rise & stick to the foil. It also said to form it on a piece of parchment paper & keep it on that in the Dutch oven. I just pre-heated the loaf pan for a bit & then wiped the inside down with olive oil. I baked it like that for 30 minutes & 12 minutes on the “toast” mode to brown the top a bit. Try it out & let me know what you think. Til next time peeps…

Ingredients: :

3 cups of bread flour

2 tsp rapid rise yeast

2 tsp of kosher salt

1 & 1/2 cups of very warm tap water

Mix the flour, yeast, & salt in a large bowl. Then add in the water. Mix up the dough with a wooden spoon until flour is incorporated.

Cover with cling wrap or a plate & set it in a warm place for 2-3 hours until it doubles in volume.

Next, I threw a little flour down on a large cutting board, got the dough from the bowl & sprinkled more flour on top. I then mixed it around a bit with a spatula getting the air bubbles out & formed it into a round shape. Throw it in the loaf pan & bake like I said further up in this post. Hope it comes out good for you.
