The Cabin

Small homestead at the lake

Abandoned Part 3

The county that our cabin is in is a dry one (meaning you can’t buy beer). This little store is about 6 miles up the road inside the next county so it was my beer store. When Kim & I started coming back down a couple of years ago to start fixing up the cabin, I noticed it was closed. A neighbor told me that it had been closed for a couple of years before that. It was a nice little store & the owner was pretty cool. It was called “T & T Grocery”.

So I’m guessing that it has been closed for about 5-6 years now. Now, I have to go 17 miles to the interstate exit to get beer now. If you zoom in on the pic, you can see that the doors & windows are boarded up. No telling how long that mini-van has been sitting there. Really can’t believe that nobody has opened it back up. One of my favorite subjects in photography is getting shots of old & abandoned things, but it’s kinda sad seeing all these empty things with no life anymore. They sure have history though & that’s cool. One of y’all come open it back up…lol. Til next time peeps.
