The Cabin

Small homestead at the lake

Abandoned

Way back in 2008 when we bought the cabin, there was a restaurant at the top of the boat ramp called “The Holiday Lodge”. From what I know, it been there a very long time. The lady that owned it at the time ending up retiring & selling it a couple of years later. Not sure if she was the original owner or not. The people that bought it changed a few things & then closed it down after 1 or 2 years. It has been sitting since.

There are also like 6-8 rental cabins behind it that she owned too as well as a rv campground across from it. Since we started coming back & fixing up the cabin, we have been told that some Arkansas business man has bought all of it & is planning a bunch of things.

He has cleaned up the rv campground & made people leave that were actually living there. The rental cabins even look better now, but the restaurant still sits empty & run down. Not sure if the story of this guy is true or not, but sure wish somebody would fix it up & get it open. It was a nice place with good food. It’s basically up on a hill above the boat ramp so you can look out over the lake while eating. It’s also really close to us…walking distance. What would you put in there?
